This past weekend we learned a great French Tradition.
We placed note cards and envelopes at every table. The guests were instructed to write marriage advice, their best wishes and thoughts of the day. After the toasts the cards were all gathered and sealed inside a box with a bottle of champagne.
The instructions for the bride and groom are to either wait until their Seventh year of marriage (seven year itch!) or after their first BIG fight, then they can break the seal and read all of the cards to remind them of their wedding day.
