We had a wedding planned last weekend for a very sweet couple. Due to Ike the wedding was cancelled. So we are now re-adjusting their wedding plans and date.
On Thursday evening, the fiance turned to his almost-wife and asked her if she wanted to wake up married on Sunday, or post-pone everything.
They decided that the whole point was to start their life together, so they did a quick ceremony at Prince of Peace on Friday morning before the storm came.
Now they are enjoying their honeymoon, as a married couple. Upon their return we will be doing a 're-enactment' of the ceremony and then having the big blow-out reception.
Even in times of crises it is important to remember that family and love is very important.
We all hope everyone is well, and while waiting for power still, that you are with friends and family.
