Colors- be bold!

Event Colors Set Your Tone

Choosing the colors for your event can be a little intimidating. It sets the décor and tone for the entire evening. From flowers to linens and decorations, color plays a big part. Here are a few hints to make the process of picking a color easier.

Decide what time of year your event is to take place. Once you have that, the seasons make for a great guide in choosing colors. In summer and spring, they tend to be lighter. While in fall and winter colors are likely to be darker.

Put into question where the event will be held, either indoors or outdoors. If held indoors consider the interior. What is the color of the carpet and the walls? You don’t want your colors to clash with the interior but to complement. If it is outdoors, recreate colors that already exist in the scenery.

Also, decide what atmosphere you are trying to set. Whether it is a romantic setting go with a soft color pallet or to add a dramatic feel go towards dark colors in the décor.

Color is very important and can be used in many different ways. It is always good to have a few colors to complement each other. Having one color can be a little boring, but having too many can be overwhelming. Using two or three colors is a good medium and will have just the right amount of color needed to make the wedding look amazing.
